Hi Halle,

I know this defeats the purpose of using OpenEars if i don’t use one of the core functions, but the library is big. 90% of the file size of my app is the OpenEars library. As of now, I’m not using the FliteController of the library. If I’m not mistaken, this class is responsible for the Text-to-Speech conversion in your library. I was wondering if you could guide me as to what files do i just need for the voice recognition function?

Hi Marco,

That’s interesting, OpenEars probably shouldn’t account for 90% of the size of your app with a single voice enabled in Flite. Can you give me a breakdown of how you got that percentage?

There is lots of info about how to slim down the final binary here: http://www.politepix.com/openears/support#13

Without voices I expect OpenEars will probably add about 10 MB to your app.

Once again, you’re fast response never ceases to amaze me. Thank you for the quick response!

Anyway, this is embarrassing. What i meant about 90% of the size of my app i meant the local size of the app. Sorry about the topic. You can delete this if you want. I’m really sorry halle. I actually thought the local size of the project has the same size of the app.XD
