    Hello,

I need to know if using OpenEars without predefined vocabulary is possible?

I am currently making a navigation app and I want to let user speak his location and destination.
So making a vocabulary with names of all the cities, towns, streets, parks, etc. in the entire US would be a tricky one :)

    Welcome,

It’s necessary to create the vocabulary. If you have no way of narrowing the field based on the user’s choices or other info, this is something you’d have to do with a generalized cloud service (although those services may not actually have specialized navigation models which would be a necessity for your application given that proper names are involved – you’d have to investigate that).
